Note on Reading Responses.
Most of the blog posts in response to Nielsen's glossary entry on "image" are satisfactorily done. However, I want to make clear that the reading responses on your blogs are a primary way for me to know that you have completed and processed the readings. If your post reads as if it could have been written without reading the given text, I will assume that it was. One sure-fire way to communicate that you have engaged the reading is to refer/quote to the specific portions that interested/irritated/surprised/bored you. Basically, these responses should tell a reader what you took away from the text - what you think it means in an abridged sense, what are the significant points, etc. You can - should - certainly state what you dis/agree with, but you need to show how your opinion is, in fact, related to the text.

3. Bring in one picture of an Afghanistan landscape (on paper)
